Tech concludes Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge

DALLAS – The Texas Tech Red Raiders concluded play at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge hosted by SMU this weekend.
The team was led in wins by newcomer Felipe Pagnacco, who recorded two singles and one doubles victory at the tournament. He was able to get a win over Tulsa's Calum Jestin, 6-4, 6-4, before earning another singles win against conference-for Redd Owen of BYU by a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (7) score.
In doubles, both Pagnacco and Brody Nejedly-Krall paired up and took down Prairie View A&M's Abdulraheem Isa and Xavier Peter-Gooding, 6-3. Also in doubles, the Red Raider duo of Piotr Pawlak and Takeyasu Sekiguchi recorded a victory against Tulsa's Jestin and Will Pellegrini, 7-5.
Both Pawlak and Nejedly-Krall also added singles wins at the tournament. Pawlak picked up a victory against Connor Doig of Tulsa by a 6-4, 6-2 score, while Nejedly-Krall tallied a win over Tulsa's Adam Bojkovic, 6-3, 6-1.
Up next, the Red Raiders compete at ITA Sectionals on Nov. 7-10 in Fort Worth, Texas.
