Macy Blackburn Earns First Team All-America Status

The Defender earned her second consecutive All-America honor
KANSAS CITY – Fresh off being named the Big 12s Defender of the Year and being named a semifinalist for the prestigious Hermann Trophy, Macy Blackburn was named a First Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
The honor for Blackburn is her second consecutive All-America honor as the Keller native was tabbed a Third Team All-American in 2023.
Blackburn's recognition closes a big week for the Texan, as the outside back was named to the 18-person Hermann Award Semifinalist list on Wednesday afternoon.
The all-time leader in assists in program history and the only player in program history with multiple double-digit assist seasons, Blackburn was an unanimous All-Big 12 First Team selection after being named the Big 12s Defender of the year. The First Team All-Big 12 selection for Blackburn marks the second-straight season the defender has taken home First Team All-Conference honors.
This season Blackburn scored twice and had 10 assists in 19 games played and 18 starts.
Blackburn was the only First Team All-American from the State of Texas and was the only Big 12 player to reach First Team All-America status.
