Red Raiders in the NFL | Regular Season Week 3, Sept. 19-23
LUBBOCK, Texas – While it was Sam Eguavoen last week to get elevated to the Jets' active roster. the Red Raiders saw another former player elevated in week three as Erik Ezukanma was moved from the Dolphins practice squad to its game day roster last Sunday.
A complete list of statistics by former Red Raiders in the NFL is below.
ARIZONA CARDINALS vs. Detroit Lions (L, 20-13)
S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (2019-23): Taylor-Demerson recorded his first career NFL tackle on defense while only playing two defensive snaps. The majority of his playing time came on special teams with 14 snaps as the Cardinals fell to the Detroit Lions at home.
DL Broderick Washington Jr. (2016-19): Washington played 31 snaps on defense and added three more on special teams as the Ravens picked up the road win over the Dallas Cowboys.
OL Terence Steele (2016-19): Steele made his third-straight start at right tackle, playing each snap as the Cowboys fell to the visiting Baltimore Ravens.
DE Myles Cole (2022-23): Cole was listed prior to the game to the Jaguars' inactive list on Monday.
QB Patrick Mahomes II (2014-16): Mahomes and the Chiefs moved to 3-0 as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons on the road, 22-17, on Sunday night primetime. Trailing by one (14-13) at halftime, Mahomes crafted an 11-play 67-yard drive that led to a field goal, before leading an 11-play 80-yard touchdown drive to take a 22-14 lead, ultimately coming away with a 22-17 victory. Mahomes now has the most wins of any quarterback through their first 100 starts with 77, passing Tom Brady and Roger Staubach.
DE Tyree Wilson (2020-22): After missing week two with a knee injury, Wilson was back in the lineup to contribute two solo tackles along with one quarterback hit as the Raiders fell to the Carolina Panthers.
LB Jordyn Brooks (2016-19): Brooks made his third-straight start of the season Sunday afternoon on the road in Seattle against his former team. He led the team in tackles with nine (three solo) along with one quarterback hit in the loss.
LB Sam Eguavoen (2011-14): Eguavoen registered his first tackle of the year on special teams as he only saw playing time on that side of the ball in the Jets home win over the Patriots.
DB Tyler Owens (2022-23): Owens saw playing time on special teams (19 snaps), but did not record a stat.
