
Tech heads to ITA Texas Regionals

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team is set to compete at the ITA Texas Regional tournament in Fort Worth, Texas on Oct. 9-14.

Last time out, the Lady Raiders played at the ACU Invitational where freshman Kseniia Logvin won her singles flight and the team totaled nine singles victories. The duo of Elena Daskalova and Arina Oreshchenkova also won their doubles flight with three wins at the tournament.

The Lady Raiders are led in singles wins by Ella Brownback with seven and Logvin with six. Both Daskalova and Polina Sleptsova are just behind with four wins apiece. In doubles, the duo of Sleptsova and Brownback as well as Yekaterina Dmitrichenko and Mariia Hlahola lead the way with five victories each. Dmitrichenko and Hlahola also have a ranked doubles win on the season. In total doubles wins, Brownback also leads in that category with seven, followed by Daskalova with six.

How to Qualify for NCAA Individuals
Each of the 2025 ITA Women's Division I Regional Championships will have a draw size of the following, (Singles: Minimum of 64 Main Draw, Minimum of 64 Qualifying) (Doubles: Minimum of 32 Main Draw, Minimum of 32 Qualifying). From this, the two singles finalists from each region (26) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region (13) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship. Selection criteria and acceptable draw size variations for each of the 2025 Women's Regional Championships will be released later this season.
