TYLER, Texas – Texas Tech running back Cameron Dickey was named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week on Tuesday for games played during Week 11 of the college football season. It marks Dickey's second time earning the national weekly honor this year after previously receiving it in Week 7.
Dickey carried 23 times for 121 yards and a touchdown in Texas Tech's 29-7 victory over No. 7 BYU. With that performance, he moved into the top spot as the Big 12's leading rusher. His touchdown was his 11th of the season, while the 100-yard effort marked his second of the year.
With 867 rushing yards on the season, Dickey is on pace to record the 14th 1,000-yard rushing season in program history and become the ninth Red Raider to reach that milestone.
