Red Raiders ink Max Pade for next season
December 19, 2025 | Men's Tennis
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis team has signed Max Pade to the 2026-27 roster as announced on Friday by head coach Michael Breler.
Â
"Coach Wynn and I are always looking for hard-working, high-character players who love tennis, are eager to improve and who will be great teammates," Breler said. "Max fits that mold and we knew early on and during his official visit that he was someone who could impact this team and this program in a big way. He is coming out of Germany as a top-ranked junior in a very strong class and he has a game and competitive spirit that we believe will thrive in the Big 12. We are excited to have Max join us in August and cannot wait to see what he can accomplish in the Red Raider uniform."
Â
Since last July, the Munich, Germany native picked up nine singles wins on the men's ITF circuit. In June 2025, Pade earned a main draw bid into the Kiseljak 25k after recording three wins in the qualifying draw, highlighted by a victory against Flavio Bocci (ITF 477).
Â
In juniors, Pade achieved four-consecutive semifinal appearances in doubles, while earning back-to-back semifinalist spots in singles at the J5 Colombo tournaments. Some of his key singles wins at those competitions came over Aryan Singh (ITF 451) and Jason David (ITF 979). His most recent juniors win was against Filip Poklemba (ITF 274) at the J300 Vrsar back in April.
Â
Pade trains at the Bresnik Academy in Vienna, Austria and boasts a UTR of 12.13. Ranked No. 8 in Germany's U18 rankings as well as No. 66 in Germany's men's rankings, Pade is set to join the Red Raiders in the fall of 2026.
