Tech falls at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Texas Tech Red Raiders dropped their road match to the No. 59 Indiana Hoosiers, 4-0, on Friday evening at the IU Tennis Center.
The Red Raiders (6-3) dropped the doubles point to Indiana (6-3) to open the match. At court two, the No. 65-ranked Indiana duo of Michael Andre and Matteo Antonescu defeated Tyler Stewart and Sebastian Abboud by a 6-2 score. Clinching the point for the Hoosiers was the pairing of Facundo Yunis and Braeden Gelletich against Ludovico Vaccari and Felipe Pagnacco, 6-4. At court one, Thiago Guglieri and Niksa Arsic took a 5-4 lead over No. 13-ranked Sam Landau and Jip Van Assendelft before their match went unfinished.
The Hoosiers increased their lead when Gelletech defeated Abboud at court five, 6-4, 6-2. At court one, Landau made it 3-0 after he beat Arsic by a 6-2, 6-2 score. The Hoosiers clinched the match at court two when Van Assendelft defeated Stewart, 7-5, 6-3. When the match was over, Vaccari was leading Yunis at court three, 7-6 (4), 0-3, while Guglieri was ahead of Ben Pomeranets at court six, 6-2, 4-5, when their matches went unfinished.
Next up, the Red Raiders head to Atlanta to take on No. 57 Georgia Tech this Sunday at 10 a.m. CT.
