Dickinson breaks 15-year old pole vault record

The junior set a new PB in the process and moves into the top 10 of the country
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Junior pole vaulter Kashlee Dickinson highlighted Friday's action at the ABQ Convention Center setting a new Texas Tech school record in the pole vault.
Dickinson cleared 4.44m (14-6 ¾) on her final attempt for the new Tech record. Her all-time best clearance came in this very same meet last season, where she vaulted 4.37m (14-4), putting her No. 2 all-time for the Red Raiders. Dickinson finished the night taking second overall. As of tonight, she sits inside the top-12 when it comes to the NCAA standings.
The previous women's pole vault indoor record was held by Shade Weygandt in 2011 with a mark of 4.40m (14- 5 ¼).
Olayinka Olajide (23.36) and Mekenze Kelley (23.50) capped off the night for Tech each setting new PB times as they finished seventh and 10th, respectively.
