SOPHOMORE SEASON (2021-22)
Agbo averaged 1.5 points and 1.0 rebounds per game in his second season at Tech… He scored a career-high eight points the NCAA Tournament First Round win over Montana State after going 2-for-2 on 3-pointers in the game… He had a previous season-high of seven points in a non-conference win over Omaha after scoring six against Prairie View A&M… Agbo finished the season shooting 15-for-36 (41.7 percent) with four 3-pointers… He had a career-high five rebounds in the win over Prairie View A&M and also had four rebounds against Eastern Washington… Agbo played in 23 games during his second season at Tech and has now played in 45 overall, scoring 80 points and having 41 rebounds for his career.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2020-21)
Agbo played in 22 games in his freshman season where he scored a season-high six points with two 3-pointers in the NCAA Tournament Second Round against Arkansas… He finished the season averaging 2.0 points per game with eight 3-pointers in a reserve role in his first season with the program… Agbo scored four points in home wins over Texas and TCU… He finished the season 16-for-39 from the field with eight coming from beyond the arc.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH: Agbo averaged 22 points per game in his senior season at Saint Augustine HS in San Diego… He signed with Texas Tech as a 4-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports after being named the 2019 Western League Player of the Year as a junior for head coach Mike Haupt... Agbo was named the 2019-20 San Diego Preseason Player of the Year after averaging 20 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and shooting 42.0 percent on 3-pointers as a junior… Also played for Compton Magic… Agbo chose Texas Tech over USC and was also recruited by Arizona, Cal, San Diego State and Marquette.
