FRESHMAN SEASON (2022-23): Played in six games as a reserve during his first season at Tech… Scored his first collegiate points with two free throws in the win over Louisville at the Maui Invitational… Also scored two points against Houston Christian with two more free throws… Finished the season 4-for-4 at the free-throw line… Made his first career basket in the non-conference win over South Carolina State and appeared in one Big 12 game against Iowa State.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH:Â Averaged 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists per game as a senior at Fayetteville HS... Scored 17 points per game as a junior... Had a career-high 35 points in a game where he hit nine 3-pointers... Recorded eight games with 30 or more points... Helped team to a Class 6A West Championship.
PERSONAL: Son of Corey and Nicole Williams. Has one sibling, Jourdan Williams. His father is a Texas Tech assistant coach who played at Oklahoma State and with the Chicago Bulls... Planning on business as his major.
