Katie Meade enters her first season as a full-time member of the Texas Tech football staff where she serves as a coordinator for on-campus recruiting.

Meade, a Lubbock native, assists in all areas of Texas Tech’s recruiting operation, namely assisting in the planning and execution of campus visits by prospective student-athletes. The position is a familiar one for Meade, who was a student assistant in the Texas Tech football office over the course of the 2021-24 seasons where she assisted with the execution of recruiting visits each summer and on gameday.

Meade was only a freshman when head coach Joey McGuire was hired as Texas Tech’s head coach. Since then, Meade has had a first-hand view of Texas Tech’s rise as one of the top personnel departments in the country as the Red Raiders have landed two top-25 recruiting classes and then the top transfer portal class in the country this past offseason.

Meade earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in general business from Texas Tech in December 2024. She is currently pursuing a master’s in sport management from the university.
