Former All-Big 12 sprinter Lexye Price enters her first season as part of the Texas Tech football program as an associate sports dietitian.
Price returned to her alma mater this offseason after previously spending the 2025 calendar year at Auburn. She served the first six months of her tenure on the plains as a sports nutrition intern before being promoted to a full-time sports dietitian role, working with Auburn’s swimming and diving, equestrian and baseball programs.
Auburn was Price’s first full-time position in the field following her time at Texas Tech where she worked with the Red Raider football program as a sports nutrition intern during the 2023 season. She later served an eight-month dietetic internship in 2024, completing more than 1,000 hours across each of Texas Tech’s athletic programs.
Price began her professional career not long after stepping off the track for the final time during an impressive career with the Lady Raiders. Price collected 11 total Big 12 Conference medals during her career as a Lady Raider, including three top-three finishes as part of Texas Tech’s 4x400-meter relay. Price also competed in the 400-meter hurdles and the 600 meters, while also earning Academic All-Big 12 honors as well as the prestigious Dr. Gerald Lage Award from the conference office in 2022.
Price earned her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences and dietetics from Texas Tech in 2023. She added her master’s in nutritional sciences and dietetics with a concentration in sports nutrition form the university in December 2024, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
