Eric Rwahwire is in his second season as a Texas Tech graduate assistant under head coach Grant McCasland.
A Toronto, Ontario, Canada native, Rwahwire played at UC Riverside and the University of Toronto before also playing for the Uganda National Team. At UC Riverside, he averaged 6.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game from 2015-19. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC Riverside and finished his playing career in college at Toronto in the 2019-20. He was drafted by the Hamilton Honey Badgers in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
With the Uganda National Team, Rwahwire helped the team qualify for AfroBasket 2020 and averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds during World Cup Qualifying games.
Rwahwire is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Texas Tech in Interdisciplinary Studies.
