Returned for a fifth season due to Covid cancellation... Played in three tournaments before suffering a season-ending injury... Finished 15th at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational in the season-opener... Earned two wins at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament.
SENIOR SEASON (2019-20)
Scott opened his senior season at Texas Tech by winning his second collegiate event with a first-place finish at The Carmel Cup where he shot 70-67-65 – 202 to lead the Red Raiders to the team title… Ranked No. 16 in Golfstat and Golfweek at the end of the shortened season, Scott finished the year with three top-10 finishes that included taking fifth at the Tavistock Collegiate and 16th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas which would prove to be the final event of the NCAA season… Scott earned Big 12 Golfer of the Month on Nov. 6, 2019 after his performances at the Tavistock and Big 12 Match Play... His fifth-place showing at the Tavistock came with him shooting 72-66-72 – 210… The round of 65 in the final round of The Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach was his low-round of the season and he went 3-1-1 to help lead the Red Raiders to the Big 12 Match Play Tournament title… Along with his collegiate season, Scott played in the Walker Cup where he helped lead GB&I to the title… Scott averaged rounds of 70.5 for the season… He is currently at No. 10 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
2018-19
Scott earned PING All-America honors and All-Big 12 after a season where he set a new Texas Tech season scoring average of 70.2... Scott recorded his first collegiate victory by winning the El Macero Classic where he shot 3-under-par (75-66-72 - 213) for the tournament title... He finished the season with five top-5 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Lake Charles Invitational after shooting 13-under... Scott's low-round of the season came at the Louisiana tournament where he carded a 64 in the opening round and then a 65 in the second round... He finished fifth at the Big 12 Tournament by shooting 5-under in West Virginia... He would finish 20th at the NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional at even-par to conclude the season after he opened the season in the fall by claiming fourth at the Showdown in the Rockies at 8-under... Scott shot under-par in eight of nine tournaments with the only non sub-par event coming at regionals at even-par... He was selected for the Arnold Palmer Cup and helped lead the International Team to the title after the collegiate season.
2017-18
Scott registered 15 rounds of par or better, ranking third on the team ... He also snagged two top-10 finishes ... He was a part of the incredible 2018 postseason run, taking 34th at the Big 12 Championships and 43rd at the NCAA Columbus Regional, where his final-round 70 was massively crucial to the Red Raiders advancing to the NCAA Championships ... His 71.89 fall scoring average ranked fifth on the team, and he logged one top-10 finish in the fall, taking tenth at The Carmel Cup, where he went 67-71-67 to finish nine shots under-par. Four of his nine rounds in the fall were under par.
2016-17
Starting his first season as a Red Raider, Scott played 20 rounds, with his lowest being a 67 in the second round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate ... his best performance of the season came at The Prestige, where he went 4-under for the tournament and tied for third place as an individual ... he tied for 27th place at The Carmel Cup to open the fall … Carded a 69 in the second round, his best round of the fall … Ended the tournament with an even-par 72 in the final round … For the fall campaign, Scott registered a scoring average of 72.
NAIRN GOLF CLUB
Scott represented Scotland against the U.S. at St. Andrews, winning two of three matches as an amateur ... Won two tournaments in a three-week span this summer: The Scotland Open Amateur & Scottish Boys Strokeplay ... Came two strokes from qualifying for the British Open ... Currently ranked No. 62 in the European Golf Rankings, even though he is a 17-year-old amateur.
