- Saw action in eight events as a freshman; participated in the team's lineup in three events (six rounds)
- Debuted in the team's lineup at the Pauma Valley Invitational, March 16-18, at Pauma Valley Country Club in California; the Red Raiders counted two of his three rounds toward the team score as he finished tied for 71st at 7-over-par 220 (76-72-72)
- Traveled with the Red Raiders as an alternate for both the Big 12 Championship and NCAA Corvallis Regional; entered as a substitute for the third (70) and fourth (74) rounds of the Big 12 Championship and for the third round (72) of the NCAA Corvallis Regional
- Of six rounds of team golf, four of the six (66.7%) were counted rounds of Hovdal's toward Texas Tech's team score
- In his five additional events, he participated as an individual; two of those five tournaments were individuals-only events that were not part of the team's 2025-26 schedule

- Was one of four Red Raiders from the men's golf team to make the journey to Tanah Merah Country Club in Tanah Merah, Singapore, Oct. 8-11, 2025, for the 34th World Amateur Team Championship, as he represented Sweden
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Advanced to the Round of 64 at the 130th Amateur Championship at Royal St George’s (June 15-21, 2025), which started from a 288-player field representing 45 countries.
- Earned on Top 10 finish at the Brabazon Trophy tournament, hosted at Hankley Common Golf Club, shooting an even-par 284 (71-66-73-74), May 22-25, 2025.
- Helped lead Team Sweden to the gold medal at the 2024 European Mens' Team Championship
- Finished as the 2024 runner-up at the Swedish National Match Play Championship, falling to Oliver Gillberg in 20 holes in the Championship match, after winning his first five matches.
- Earned a fourth-place finish at the 2024 St. Andrews Links Trophy tournament ... was 3-under-par at the 72-hole event that was led by an impressive 6-under 66 second round at The Old Course.
- At the 57th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship at Chambers Bay, July 23-26, 2024, shot an impressive 8-under-par 276 to secure a top-five finish.
- Was the winner of the 2023 Jacques Léglise Trophy at St. Andrews Links - the Jacques Léglise Trophy is the under-18 equivalent of the St Andrews Trophy.
- Won the Annika Sörenstam Trophy in 2023, a year after being the runner-up in 2022, which is awarded to both genders, who lead their respective Swedish Junior Tour Order-of-Merit.
- Helped lead Team Sweden to gold in the 2023 European Boys' Team Championship.

- A product of "The Rig" in Sweden, which is part of Filbornaskolan High School in Helsingborg, Sweden - a national sports high school that allows juniors to combine school and elite sports.
