SENIOR (2018-19)
Kapshuk secured 12 singles wins in his senior campaign, including five in dual match play during the spring … Recorded the first win of the year against Ivan Yatsuk of South Florida at the Cajun Fall Classic by a margin of 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 (Sept. 21) … Rattled off three-consecutive victories at the ITA Texas Regionals to reach the quarterfinal round (Oct. 19-22) … Defeated Noah Schachter of Texas A&M in straight-sets to kick off the ITA Texas Regionals … Knocked off Guanarteme Nuez of UTA in the round of 32 by a score of 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 … Cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win over Conrad Russell of Rice to advance to the quarterfinals … racked up three more wins in the fall session against Portland, UCF and TJC (Oct. 25, Nov. 9) … Began dual match play with three-straight wins, including two in the opening-day doubleheader (Jan. 11) against Bryant (6-3, 7-5) and Tulsa (6-7, 7-5, 6-4) … Followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nicolas Mayr of Lamar University on court three (Jan. 20) … Picked up another non-conference win against Rice (Feb. 22) … Concluded his regular season with the first match-clinching victory of his career, as he defeated Constantin Frantzen of No. 6 Baylor on court six by a score of 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-3 to give the Red Raiders the upset victory (April 14) … Notched 10 doubles wins on the year, while being paired exclusively with Ilgiz Valiev for the fall season … Won three-consecutive matches en route to a Cajun Fall Classic doubles title (Sept. 21) … Rounded out 2018 with a pair of wins against Tulane and Auburn at the Longhorn Invitational in Austin (Nov. 9) … Also tallied a win with partner Matheus Leite in dual match action against Lamar (Jan. 20).

Kapshuk collected a 16-13 singles record which included an 11-9 mark in dual matches … Won a trio of qualifying matches over Ole Miss’ Grey Hamilton (6-2, 3-6, 6-3), Indiana’s Raheel Manji (6-3, 6-4) and Oklahoma’s Jake Van Emburgh (6-4, 7-6 (3)) to earn spot in main draw Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships (Sept. 30-Oct. 6) … Won four of his five dual matches at the No. 3 singles position … Strung together a season’s best five-match winning streak (Jan. 15-Feb. 3) … Defeated Jan Pallares of Memphis (Feb. 3) on court five by 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 decision to even match at 3-3 … Took down David Norfeldt of No. 39 San Diego (May 12) by a 6-3, 7-6 (7) score line during NCAA Tournament First Round … Managed a 14-12 doubles record which included a 9-8 mark in dual matches … Produced an 8-5 record with Ilgiz Valiev and a 5-4 mark with Connor Curry … Appeared in the finals at the John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic (Sept. 22-24) with Curry … Clinched a team-leading six doubles points during spring season with Valiev highlighted by the Memphis (Feb. 3) and Arizona (March 15) matches … Knocked off A.J.
