Jolan Cailleau is entering his second season in a volunteer coach role at his alma mater. Cailleau made his return to Lubbock when he was named to to a volunteer assistant coaching position in the fall of 2018.
Cailleau spent four years as a member of the Red Raider men's tennis team, where he became one of the most decorated and accomplished members in the history of the program, highlighted by a 2017 International Tennis Association All-America selection.
During his four year run, he racked up 94 singles victories, an achievement that still ranks third in program history behind fellow ITA All-Americans Gonzalo Esobar (99, 2009-12) and Raony Carvalho (95, 2009-12). Cailleau is also one of only two players in Tech history to record three-consecutive seasons with 25 or more wins. His .676 singles winning percentage ranks eighth in program history. He was the fourth player in team history to secure ITA All-American status in singles play. Cailleau's ITA Texas Region Most Improved Senior player award in 2017 is the first award of its' kind in Tech men's tennis history.
Cailleau's success was not limited to the tennis court, as he is one of seven players in Tech men's tennis history to record two All-Big 12 honors while also receiving three All-Big 12 Academic first team selections. He also accumulated two ITA Scholar Athlete marks in 2014 and 2016 and a 2014 All-Big 12 Academic Rookie Team nominations, making him a four-time All-Big 12 academic honoree.
Prior to his time at Tech, Cailleau was ranked in the top 60 overall players in Belgium with numerous wins over top international competition.
Cailleau earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance in the spring of 2018.
