JUNIOR (2019-20)
Continued his remarkable career in the Scarlet and Black by totaling 12 wins, including a second-best eight in dual match play, on the singles side in his shortened junior campaign where he became a mainstay in the ITA rankings, reaching a season-high of No. 62 on February 5th … Started the fall season with a qualifying win at the ITA All-American Championships … Reached the quarterfinal round of the ITA Texas Regionals in Waco with a pair of wins against opponents from Lamar and SMU … Earned a quarterfinal berth at the SMU Invite in Dallas to conclude the fall semester … Began dual match season with a win at Iowa at the No. 2 position at 7-6, 6-3 (Jan. 16) … Picked up the highest-ranked win of the season with a victory over No. 27 Juan Carlos Aguilar of No. 9 Texas A&M in Dallas at 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 (Feb. 2) … Would bounce back from a pair of losses with six-consecutive singles victories, beginning with a 7-5, 6-2 decision over Zhe Zhou of No. 48 Alabama at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic (Feb. 21) … Defeated Chris Edge of No. 27 Middle Tennessee State at 6-0, 6-2 (Feb. 22) before closing the Blue Gray with another 6-4, 6-2 straight-set win over Fresno State (Feb. 23) … Came back to Lubbock and defeated Nicolas Buitrago of New Mexico State, 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 1 position (Feb. 28) … Recorded another win against Tulsa at 6-2, 6-1 (Feb. 28) and UTSA (March 1) … Played primarily with partner Bjorn Thomson in dual match play, where the pair concluded dual match play with seven-consecutive victories.
SOPHOMORE (2018-19)
