2016 OUTDOOR
Finished sixth at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the high jump after clearing 2.19m/7-2.25, earning first team All-America honors ... cleared 2.16m/7-1 on his first attempt in a jump-off at the Prelims to advance to his fourth-straight championships ... fourth-straight year two Red Raiders have qualified ... entered the 2016 NCAA West Preliminaries with a clearance of 2.23m/7-3.75 in the men's high jump, which ranks fourth in the region ... that mark came en route to a silver medal at the Big 12 Championships on May 15 ... continued a three-year streak of Tech teammates going 1-2 at the outdoor meet, finishing second in 2015 and winning the event in 2014 ... tallied five top two finishes in the high jump this season ... won the event at the Michael Johnson Invitational on April 23 with a mark of 2.13m/6-11.75 ... that meet started a trend of four-straight season-bests, moving up to 2.21m/7-3 at the Masked Rider Open (May 6) and 2.23m/7-3.75 at the conference meet (May 15) ... was also named to the 2016 Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
2016 INDOOR
Second Team All-American in the high jump, finishing ninth in Birmingham on March 11, clearing a height of 2.18m/7-1.75 ... picked up bronze at the Big 12 Championships after clearing 2.19m/7-2.25 ... posted five top three finishes during the indoor campaign ... matched the school record and recorded a first-place finish at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 13 ... his clearance of 2.29m/7-6 at the meet matched the school record he and JaCorian Duffield set at the same venue at the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 14, 2015.
2015 OUTDOOR
First Team All-American in the high jump, finishing second in Eugene on June 12, clearing a height of 2.24m/7-4.5 ... duplicating the indoor feat, he and Duffield went 1-2 at the Outdoor Championships to become not only the first teammates since 1939 to go 1-2 in the high jump at the meet, but the first to finish first and second at both the indoor and outdoor meets in the history of the NCAA ... the eight points scored propelled the men's team to a ninth-place finish, marking the first time Texas Tech has had top-10 finishes in the indoor and outdoor seasons in the same year ... added three marks to the program outdoor records at No. 7 (2.24m/7-4.5 - NCAA Championships) and two at No. 8 (2.24m/7-4.25 - Red Raider Open & Big 12 Championships) ... posted seven top three finishes during the outdoor campaign, including five second-place marks and one first-place finish (Texas Tech Open) ... was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.
2015 INDOOR
First Team All-American in the high jump, finishing second in Fayetteville on March 14, clearing the bar at 2.29m/7-6.0 ... the mark was a school record, tying with JaCorian Duffield at the NCAA meet ... he and Duffield became the first teammates to go 1-2 at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the high jump since 1974 ... scoring eight points with his second-place finish, he helped the men's team to its highest point total (31) in program history and tied its highest finish (5th) at the meet ... it was also the highest finish by a Big 12 school at the 2015 meet ... finished top five at every meet in 2015, posting four second-place finishes and one first-place (Masked Rider Open - 2.25m/7-4.5) ... along with the school record, he added his name to the No. 4 mark in the program indoor records twice at the Masked Rider Open (1/30) and the Tyson Invitational (2/13).
2014 OUTDOOR
Second team All-American in the high jump, taking 13th in Eugene, clearing 2.15m/7-0.50 ... Cleared 2.16m/7-1.00 at the NCAA West Preliminaries to take first place overall in the region, which was his qualification for nationals ... Cleared a career-best 2.21m/7-3.00 to become Tech's first Big 12 Champion in the high jump since 2003 ... Won or finished second in the high jump at six meets in 2014.
2014 INDOOR
First team All-American in the high jump, clearing 2.20m/7-2.50 to take fifth place at the NCAA Indoor Championships ... Was also an All-Big 12 performer, placing third at the conference meet with a mark of 2.23m/7-3.75 ... Finished in the top eight at all seven meets in which he competed.
2013 OUTDOOR
Advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a true freshman...tied for third at the Big 12 Championships clearing a season-best and personal-best 2.17-meters (7'-1.50") on his second attempt...finished seventh at the NCAA West Preliminaries clearing 2.16-meters (7'-1.00")...finished 20th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships clearing 2.10-meters (6'-10.75")...cleared two bars over 7-feet on the season...collected five top-3 finishes on the season.
2013 INDOOR
Finished third at the Big 12 Indoor Championships clearing 2.13-meters (6'-11.75")...only freshman in the conference to finish in the top-3 of the championship meet...cleared a season-best 2.14-meters (7'-0.25") at the Masked Rider Open finishing third overall...cleared four bars at or above 6'-9.00" on the season.
IDALOU HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered four years competing in the high jump, long jump, triple jump, and hurdles...cleared a career-best height of 2.13-meters (7'-0") in the high jump...named the 2A Athlete of the Year in Texas during both the 2010 and 2011 seasons...also played football and basketball winning state championships in both sports.
