2016 OUTDOOR
Competed in two decathlon events, while also taking on a flurry of other competitions during the outdoor campaign ... notched a total of 11 personal-best throughout the season, eight while competing in decathlon sections ... posted a first-place finish in the triple jump at the Masked Rider Open with a mark of 14.95m/49-0.75, also a PR ... cleared a lifetime best 2.10m/6-10.75 in the high jump at the Wes Kittley Invitational ... also hit a then-PR 49.84m/163-6 at the meet in the javelin ... his first decathlon came at the Kansas Relays on April 20-21 ... finished sixth in the event with 6,414 points, notching one PR in the 110H at 15.71 ... put together a strong showing at the Big 12 Championships, hitting six personal-bests in the 100m (11.35), 400m (54.48), 1500m (4:47.51), long jump (6.84m/22-5.25), shot put (12.49m/40-11.75) and the javelin (50.22m/164-9) ... also finished first in the dec. high jump at 2.05m/6-8.75 ... those totals helped him earn bronze in the decathlon and score 6,812 points.

Honed his craft in the triple, long & high jump during the season until competing in the heptathlon at the Big 12 Championships ... opened in the triple jump with a second-place finish at the Arkansas Invitational at 14.71m/48-3.25 ... also cleared 2.00m/6-6.75 in the high jump at the meet ... hit a PR in the triple jump in the return to Fayetteville with a leap of 14.78m/48-6 at the Tyson Invitational ... notched two PR's in the high jump at the Big 12 Championships, once in the heptathlon (2.01m/6-7) and in the open event (2.04m/6-8.25) ... also recorded a personal-best in the hep. long jump at 6.58m/21-7.25 ... pieced together an All-Big 12 honoree performance at the conference championships after placing eighth in the heptathlon at 4,874 points ... the score is the 10th-best mark in school history.
PERSONAL
Transferred from South Plains College ... was named National Men's Field Athlete Of The Year in 2015 by the USTFCCCA after winning the NJCAA crown in the decathlon with 6,683 points ... also finished seventh in the high jump & ninth in the triple jump at the national meet.
