Kerry Callender joined Texas Tech and Lady Raider Basketball back in August of 2021. Callender’s main responsibilities for the Lady Raider program include assisting the director of basketball operations in day-to-day operations, scheduling, team travel logistics, as well as helping coordinate the Krista Gerlich Summer Basketball Camps. Callender graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with his degree in sports management and his minor in business. While at UT, he spent two-and-a-half years as an athletic training student assistant working with various athletic teams. During his last semester and the year following his graduation, Callender worked as an operations assistant at the Valero Texas Open golf tournament on the PGA Tour. While working with the Valero Open, he assisted in on-course build-out planning and execution, signage planning, security scheduling as well as logistics for parking and transportation. At Tech, Kerry is currently enrolled in the dual degree program where he will graduate with his masters in sports management and his MBA. Callender hopes to one day become a director of basketball operations for a Power-Five/D-I program.
