After three stellar seasons on the court, Sarah Redding will spend what would have been her senior season transitioning to a new role as a student assistant for Red Raider volleyball for the 2018 season.
Redding, who started 29 matches her junior season and appeared in 75 matches over her three-year career, medically retired following the 2017 season due to multiple knee injuries. She compiled 530 kills and over 100 blocks on the right side, while playing an instrumental role in leading the resurgence of the Texas Tech volleyball program under head coach Tony Graystone.
A Human Development and Family Studies major, Redding will graduate this December with her BSN and plans to attend nursing school.
Redding is from Friendswood, Texas, where she was a 2013 All-State Selection for Friendswood High School. Prior to Tech, she was also honored on the 2013 USA Junior Olympic All-Tournament Team and was the 2014 Skyline Volleyball MVP.
