Ronald Ross is in his second season as a Texas Tech graduate assistant after a 13-year professional career and earning all-America honors as a Red Raider from 2001-05.
A Hobbs, New Mexico native, Ross graduated from Tech in 2005 and played overseas from 2005-18 before returning to Lubbock to help coach the Red Raiders during their run to the NCAA National Championship final and Big 12 regular-season championship.
As a player, Ross was a three-time New Mexico State Champion and earned USA Today New Mexico Player of the Year. He was named All-American at Texas Tech where he was also a Big 12 First-Team and Big 12 All-Defensive selection. Ross was named the Chip Hilton Player of the Year by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
