Red Raiders Lose In Road Trip Finale

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team finished its four-match road trip today at No. 6 TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. Tech fell to TCU 4-1 dropping its record to 2-4 on the year. TCU improves to 6-1. The Red Raiders went 1-3 on the road trip with the lone victory coming last weekend against Cal Poly.
In singles action today the No. 1 and No. 2 positions did not finish action, but in the No. 3 position Tech earned its only win of the day. Junior Richard Crabtree defeated Scott Eddings in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. He snaps a one-match losing streak and improves his record to 4-2 on the year.
Tech fell in the lower part of the line-up in each position in straight sets.
TCU won the doubles point by winning the No. 1 and No. 3 position. The No. 2 position did not finish.
The Red Raiders will rest for a week and return to action in Lubbock, Tuesday, March 6, to begin Big 12 play against Baylor.
