- Texas Tech has earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Big 12 Tournament and will play the Baylor Bears at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning at Ameriquest Field In Arlington. The seeds are as follows: Texas (1), Oklahoma (2), Texas Tech (3), Oklahoma State (4), Texas A&M (5), Baylor (6), Missouri (7) and Nebraska (8).
- Tech's three-game sweep of Baylor mark the third straight sweep of the Bears in Lubbock. Baylor's last win at Dan Law Field was on March 22, 1998.
- Texas Tech's 79 home runs this year ranks eighth all-time at Texas Tech and the Red Raiders need just one more to tie the 1988 team for seventh.
- Junior shortstop Cameron Blair hit .400 (6-for-15) in the weekend series and picked up three home runs and eight RBI.
- Junior first baseman Josh Brady picked up his first career grand slam in the second inning. The grand slam was the sixth by Texas Tech this season.
- The series sweep was Tech's fourth of the year (Campbell, Kansas, Kansas State and Baylor).
- Texas Tech finished the week with a 4-0 record as Tech dropped New Mexico State on Tuesday 20-3.
