
Red Raiders Fall To Louisiana Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Paul Millsap scored a season-high 29 points Wednesday night as Louisiana Tech defeated Texas Tech 68-53, the Red Raiders' second straight loss.
Millsap hit 13-of-19 from the field while grabbing 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Marcus Elliot added 13 points for Louisiana Tech (4-3) and Michael Wilds had eight points and 10 rebounds.
Louisiana Tech led 36-26 at the half.
Texas Tech (5-4) cut the lead in the second half to five points four times, but could never get any closer to the Bulldogs.
Louisiana Tech hit five 3-pointers in the first nine minutes of the first half to take a 23-9 lead, holding the Red Raiders scoreless for four minutes during a 13-0 run.
Jarrius Jackson scored 19 points for Texas Tech while Martin Zeno and Dior Lowhorn had 16 points each.
The Bulldogs were able to control the boards for the majority of the game, outrebounding Texas Tech 40-25.
Millsap scored his 47th career double-double, putting him third on the all-time list for Louisiana Tech.
