
Men's Tennis Defeats Abilene Christian University

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team squeeze one match in before hitting the road for tough competition. The Red Raiders beat Abilene Christian University at home, 4-1.
The Red Raiders dominated in singles winning four of their five matches. Jakob Paulsen defeated George Carstens, 6-2, 6-0 and Adrian Prpic defeated Evan Puglia 6-2, 6-1. Dimitrio Martinez came out on top against Kevin Beedy, 6-3, 6-2 and Teddy DiBlasi also came out on top against Bryce Hicks, 7-5, 6-1. Chris Ramsey lost in a competive match agains William McDonald, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6.
"We are looking forward to this weekend," said head coach Tim Siegel. "We are excited to get the whole team on the court and compete against two of the top 30 teams."
The Red Raiders will travel to San Antonio, Texas on Fri., Feb. 18-20. Tech will face Texas-Pan American at 2 p.m. on Friday. They will compete against Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Louisiana-Lafayette at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
