Track and Field Heads East to TCU

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech track and field will head to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the TCU Invite, on Saturday, April 23. This is Tech's fourth road trip in as many weeks.
Joining Tech in Fort Worth will be Big 12 rival Oklahoma, and in-state foes UT-Arlington, SMU, North Texas, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State and South Plains. The SMU women are currently ranked in a tie for 24th in the Trackwire Top 25.
The Tech men are currently ranked 25th in the Trackwire Top 25. Their highest ranking of the season, 18th, came during the week of April 5th. The women have yet to be ranked during this outdoor season.
Individually, Lacy Wilson holds the 12th spot in the high jump and the women's 4x400 is ranked seventh. For the men, Tyree Gailes is in the 11th slot in the 100M, Jonathan Johnson holds the top spot in the 800M and Marlon Odom broke the 110M hurdles ranking in eighth. The men's 4x100M and 4x400M are ranked 11th and ninth, respectively.
To date, the Red Raiders have posted 84 regional qualifying marks, one automatic qualifying mark and have broken eight school and facility records. Tech is currently leading the Big 12 in 10 of the men's and women's events.
