- Senior catcher Cooper Fouts' single in the bottom of the third broke a streak of 9 1/3 hitless innings by Missouri pitcher Max Scherzer dating back to the game on April 1.
- Texas Tech is now 1-4 in game-two of the Big 12 Tournament after winning the opening round (only win was in 1998).
- Missouri has now won seven of the last nine meetings in the series. The Tigers also own a 2-1 advantage against the Red Raiders in the Big 12 Tournament.
