Men's Heptathlon Results | Women's Pentathlon Results
Albuquerque, N.M. - Texas Tech pentathletes and heptathletes concluded competition at the New Mexico Invite, in Albuquerque, today. Sophomore Julianne Kennedy provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships with her second-place finish and point total of 3,737 in the pentathlon.
Kennedy posted marks of 8.84 in the 60M hurdles, 5'-6.5" in the high jump, a throw of 36'-8.25" in the shot put, a leap of 17'-9.75" in the long jump and clocked a 2:32.32 in the 800M.
In the men's heptathlon, Chad Andrews led the Red Raiders with a fourth-place finish. Andrews clocked a time of 8.28 in the 60M hurdles and cleared a height of 14'-5.25" in the pole vault for a combined point total of 5,026 points, a personal best.
Jonathan Kittley finished in ninth place with 4,695 points. He clocked a time of 9.06 in the 60M hurdles and a clearance of 13'-1.5" in the pole vault.
Cale Smith finished in 10th place with a point total of 4,574. He posted a time of 8.57 in the 60M hurdles and cleared a height of 12'-9.5".
