Wilson, Alley Set NCAA Marks at Wes Kittley Open

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech track and field hosted their last indoor meet at the ATC this afternoon. The Red Raiders posted five provisional marks, two facility records and one school record.
Freshman Amanda Alley won the pole vault with her NCAA clearance of 12'-11.5", also a new personal best. Lacy Wilson finished second in the high jump with an NCAA qualifying clearance of 5'-10".
In the 55M hurdles, Daryl Burgess clocked a 7.29, a new personal best, school record and facility record. The time is also his third provisional qualifying mark of the season. Marlon Odom finished third in the event with his provisional time of 7.36, his second of the season.
Zach Glavash won the 600Y in dramatic fashion with his clocking of 1:08.84, a new facility record. The race marked Glavash's first individual run as a Red Raider. The time was also .03 seconds away from tying Jonathan Johnson's school record of 1:08.81.
In the pole vault, Bobby Most took first place with his clearance of 17'-0.75", his second provisional mark of the season. Chris Ashcraft and Sage Thames finished in a tie for second with clearances of 16'-0.75".
Personal bests were abundant in the women's throws today. D'Andra Carter finished third in the shot put with a personal best of 46'-4" and fifth in the weight throw with a personal best of 47'-1.5" Patience Knight set a new personal best in the weight throw with a second-place finish and a toss measuring 50'-1.25".
