Lubbock, Texas - Select members of Texas Tech track and field completed day two of competition at the 48th annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., on the campus of Mt. San Antonio College on Friday. Heavy downpours and light rain have come in shifts to add an extra challenge for the competitors.
In the 1500M, Asia Diaz set a new personal best with a clocking of 4:42.35 and 24th-place finish.
Michael Mathieu won the 200M with a clocking of 21.31.
The 400M hurdlers had an off day on the track due to the torrential downpours during their race. Bryan Scott clocked a 52.06, Shawon Harris a 52.72 and Marlon Odom a 56.58. Scott recorded his third regional qualifying mark on the event.
