Track Splits for North Texas, Penn Relays

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech track and field will part ways once again as one group will compete in the Mean Green Twilight at North Texas, Thurs. April 27, and another group will travel to Penn Relays, in Philadelphia, April 27-29.
The men's squad is currently ranked 13th in the USTFCCCA poll and 14th in the Trackwire 25 poll. Individually, in the Dandy Dozen, Zach Glavash's performance at TCU propelled him to No. 3 in the 800M rankings, Andrae Williams is ranked eighth in the 400M, Sage Thames is 12th in the pole vault and Harrison Benjamin cracked the shot put list at No. 11. In the 110M hurdles, Shawon Harris is sitting at No. 6 and Marlon Odom in No. 9. The men's 4x400M relay is still holding on at No. 2.
On the women's side, Lacy Wilson is No. 5 on the Dandy Dozen high jump list.
Last week at the TCU Invite, the Red Raiders recorded 22 regional qualifying marks and one school record.
Shawon Harris clocked a 13.60 in the 110M hurdles to win the event and set a school record. He replaces the previous school record of 13.63, set by teammate Marlon Odom on April 1, 2006. The time is currently the third-best time in the nation, the best time in the Big 12, a personal best and Harris' fifth regional qualifying time in the event.
Zach Glavash beat the 2006 NCAA Indoor 800M Champion Jackson Langat of TCU in the men's 800M with a regional qualifying time of 1:49.32, his first of the season. On the women's side, Althea Chambers won the event with a regional qualifying clocking of 2:08.88, her first of the season.
Sage Thames finished second in the pole vault with a clearance of 17'-8.5", his third regional qualifying mark of the season. Bobby Most finished seventh with his second regional qualifying height of the season 16'-6.75". On the women's side, Lindsey Walesheck and Dana Rosenbladt found regional qualifying marks by clearing 12'-5.5", the first of the season for both. The height is also a personal best for Walesheck.
The women's 4x400M (Louise Cox, Keshima Starks, Jhavonne Pope and Chambers) combined for a 3:39.47, good for second-place finish and a regional qualifying clocking. The men's 4x400M (Albert Booker, Mathieu, Glavash and Williams) combined for a 3:06.03, good for a first-place finish and a regional qualifying time.
