Field Events Dominate at Mean Green Twilight

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech track and field competed in the Mean Green Twilight on the campus of North Texas, Thurs., April 27. The Red Raiders dominated the field events, tallying eight regional qualifying marks and seven first-place finishes.
In the jumps, Bobby Evers won the triple jump with a 47'-7.5" and Sabrina Taylor won the long jump with her personal collegiate best of 20'-1.25", her fourth regional qualifying mark of the season. Lacy Wilson finished second in the high jump with her fourth regional qualifying mark of the season, 5'-10.75".
Sage Thames won the men's pole vault with his fourth regional qualifying mark of the season, 17'-0.75". Dana Rosenbladt cleared 12'-2.5", good for a first place finish on the women's side.
In the throws, Jamie Robinson marked his first regional qualifying toss in the javelin, 208'-4". Robinson finished first in the event with a personal best and currently, the fourth-best mark in the Big 12. D'Andra Carter won the discus with a toss of 175'-9.5", her sixth regional qualifying mark of the season. Patience Knight finished second in the discus with a person best mark of 173'-0", her third regional qualifying mark of the season.
On the men's side, Harrison Benjamin on the shot put with a 58'-1.25", his sixth regional qualifying mark of the season. Brad Kring finished third in the discus and was the top collegiate finisher with a personal best toss of 185'-1", his fourth regional qualifying mark in the event on the season.
