Austin, Texas - Julianne Kennedy set a new school record in the heptathlon at the 79th Texas Relays, in Austin, on Thursday. Kennedy scored 5,104 points during the two-day event. She replaces the previous school record of 4,955 she set at the Angelo State Multis in March.

Chad Andrews ended day one of the men's decathlon with 3,496 points. Andrews started day two with the 110M hurdles and had an injury in the event. He threw the discus then pulled out of the decathlon entirely. In the two-day event, Andrews set a personal best in the 100M with a wind aided clocking of 11.49.
