Red Raiders in 11th after Two Rounds

DENVER, Colo. - The Red Raiders women's golf squad moved up two spots after a second round of play in the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate in Denver, Colo. The team sat in 13th place after a first round of 310, but improved two spots when shaving 11 strokes from their first round to fire a 299 in the second.
Tech is being led by Megan Dowdy, who is the Red Raiders' only top-20 individual after the first day of action. Dowdy sits in a tie for 20th after firing rounds of 77-71--148. Brynn Anderson carded rounds of 78-74--152 to end in a tie for 32nd. Gloriana Soto sits in a tie for 39th with scores of 77-76--153. Freshman Rosalyn Kim shot two rounds of 6-over 78 to tie for 52nd on the day. Melissa Fahey turned in scores of 78-79--157 and is currently tied for 58th. Freshman Amanda Martinez is competing as an individual and is currently tied for 42nd with rounds of 78-76--154.
Host Denver sits atop the leaderboard with rounds of 279-285--564. There is currently a three-way tie for first with Sara Wikstrom of Arkansas-Little Rock, Rachel Newren of BYU and Denver's Emily Hoeper firing a 36-hole score of 139.
