Kipyego to Run 3000M at Reebok Boston Indoor Games

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech's five-time national champion Sally Kipyego will be taking her talent to the Reebok Boston Indoor Games on Sat., Jan. 26. She will be running the 3000M, which is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College.
Kipyego will be facing stiff competition as Tirunesh Dibaba, who is a three-time World Cross Country Champion, and the two-time World Champion in the 5000M, will be running. Dibaba also owns the 2007 World Championship in the 10,000M.
Kipyego is the reigning indoor NCAA champion in the 3000M. Her fastest time in the event last season was a 8:56.72, which is a Tech school record. Results can be found at www.bostonindoorgames.com or at www.texastech.com.
