Julianne Kennedy Sitting Fourth at Texas Relays

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Julianne Kennedy is fourth in the heptathlon after the first day of the Texas Relays. The final three events will start tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.
Kennedy is currently fourth with 3,351 points after four events. In two of the four events, Kennedy set new personal bests in the 100M hurdles (13.47) and shot put (43'-10"). She also cleared 5'-6.5" in the high jump and ran a 26.25 in the 200M. She is only 34 points away from third place.
Kennedy will start competing at 12:00 p.m. with the long jump. Other Red Raiders competing tomorrow are Jasmine Flournoy, Sandra Iwunze, Jansen Hyde and Wouter Le Roux running the 400M hurdles, Brian Porter in the pole vault and Ozie Okolie in the hammer throw.
