BOULDER, Colo. - Texas Tech's women squad finished the first day of the Big 12 Championships in sixth place with ten points.
Ozie Okolie started the day by placing fourth in the hammer throw. She threw a NCAA regional mark of 196'-06".
Irene Kimaiyo and Michelle Guzman finished the first day by running the 10,000M. Kimaiyo finished in fourth with a time of 36:44.94 and Guzman placed 18th with a time of 38:40.64.
The Red Raiders continue competing tomorrow starting with the women's shot put at 12 p.m. Live results of the Big 12 Championships can be found at www.cubuffs.com.
