TECH RACKS UP NINE NCAA REGIONAL MARKS AT ACU INVITE

ABILENE, Texas - The Texas Tech men's and women's track programs won 13 titles and collected nine NCAA Regional marks at the ACU Invitational.
Junior Ozie Okolie started the meet off improving on her hammer mark from a week earlier. Okolie threw a NCAA Regional mark of 198'-03" to win the hammer throw.
Amanda Alley finished second in the women's pole vault with her second-straight NCAA Regional mark. She cleared a season-best of 13'-2.50". Sage Lasater placed third clearing 12'-1.50" and Jessie Gibbs cleared 11'-7.75" for sixth. Kelly Wilson placed third in the men's pole vault with a mark of 16'-00.75".
Patience Knight threw her first NCAA Regional mark in the shot put as she won throwing 53'-11.25". D'Andra Carter placed second with a mark of 46'-1.25". Benjamin Harrison throw 54'-6.75" to place second in the men's shot put while Tyler Menges was third with a 54'-4".
Omo Osaghae won the 110M hurdles with a NCAA Regional time of wind-aided 13.95. Brandon Tucker was third with a 14.44. Tori Smith won the women's 110M hurdles running a 13.95. Jamie Simanek was third with a 14.84 and Roxie Greve was fourth running a 15.10.
Rodney Mims ran his first NCAA Regional mark of the year. Mims won the 400M with a time of 47.10. Lamont Adams finished right behind him with a 47.50 in second place.
Brett McDaniel threw a NCAA Regional mark of 170'-10" to place second overall. Menges was fourth with a mark of 148'-00 and Chuck Zavala placed fifth throwing 138'-07". Knight won the women's discus with a NCAA Regional mark of 164'-10" while Carter placed third with a NCAA Regional throw of 157'-10".
Jamele Mason ran his first NCAA Regional mark in the 400M hurdles. The freshman won the event with a 52.22. Brandon Tucker (53.62) and Zach Plinario (53.85) finished second and third, respectfully. Sandra Iwunze ran a 1:03.78 to win the women's 400M hurdles and Caroline Mueller was second with a 1:11.90.
Bill Lawhorn ran a personal-best time of 10.58 in the 100M to place third. Markus Henderson finished third with a time of 10.83.
The Red Raiders finished second through fifth in the men's long jump. The places went to Waylon Randolph (23'-11"), Zavala (22'-3"), Nick Green (22'-1.75") and Travon Chadwick-Hill (21'-4"). Janell Appelhans (18'-10") placed second in the women's long jump while Veronica DiLullo was third with a jump of 18'-1".
Paden Behrens won the javelin with a throw of 183'-04".
The Lady Raiders has the top four finishes in the 800M. Shannon Jackson ran a 2:16.79 winning the event. Kearci Jobe placed second with a 2:18.13 and Devin Bailey finished third with a time of 2:19.66. Brintney Green was fourth with a time of 2:20.21.
The Red Raiders took the top two places in the men's 800M as Brandon Washington ran a 1:57.74 to win the race. Matt Davidson was second with a 1:57.77.
Christina Graham placed second in the women's 1500M with a time of 4:54.24. Logan Culotta ran a 4:06.18 in the men's 1500M to finish second and David Boston was fourth with a time of 4:07.36.
Kelsey Lloyd won the women's high jump clearing 5'-7" and Justin Turner won the men's high jump with a mark of 6'-4".
Bernard Hammonds placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 45'-4.50".
Katherine Preibe (11:17.31), Amanda McKeehan (11:41.76), Kayla Sayegh (11:42.94) and Michelle Edman (12:47.74) finished second through fifth in the women's 3000M.
The women's 4x400M relay of Jackson, Green, Jobe and Addison LeMaster placed second with a time of 4:07.00.
The men's 4x400M relay of Davidson, Culotta, Boston, Paul Julemus ran a time of 3:28.05 to place third overall.
