LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track program had its best weekend of the season as the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders saw an automatic mark, two school records and eight NCAA Provisional marks at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational, New Mexico Classic and the Texas Tech Open meets.
Bryce Lamb qualified for his first NCAA Indoor Championships in the triple jump as he jumped an automatic mark at the New Mexico Classic. His mark of 16.27M (53'-4.50") won the event and is a personal-best jump for the freshman. It is currently the fourth best in the nation. Teammate Darrell Roddick placed second with a NCAA Provisional jump of 16.13M (52'-11") while at the New Mexico Classic.
Kelsey Lloyd showed her vast potential by winning the pentathlon yesterday at the New Mexico Classic in her first attempt at the event. Her total of 3,989 points is a NCAA Provisional mark and is the fourth-best performance in school history. The score is also currently fourth-best in the NCAA. She won the 60M hurdles (8.49), tied for first in the high jump (5'-8.75") and the long jump (19'-7.50").

The mark converted to the 60M hurdles puts him third in the NCAA at 7.72. The Red Raiders took second through fourth as well. Jansen Hyde (7.31) was second with his second NCAA Provisional time of the year. Bryce Brown (7.36) took third with his first NCAA Provisional time of the year and Brandon Tucker (7.57) finished fourth.
Latoy Williams set the school record in the 600Y by running a 1:08.53. He placed second place to the former record holder Jonathan Johnson.
