LUBBOCK, Texas - Freshman Julian Wruck was named the Big 12 Male Athlete of the Week after his nation-leading throw at the Texas Tech Open.
The Australian native won the discus at the Tech Open with a throw of 61.02M (200'-02"). It is a personal best for Wruck and the best throw in the NCAA this season. He improved his personal best by almost 10 feet and its second-straight meet title.
Wruck and the rest of the Red Raiders will be competing this weekend at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.
