
Lady Raiders Sit Seventh Heading Into Final Round

LUBBOCK, Texas - The second day of the 2010 Big 12 Conference Women's Golf Championships in Norman, Okla. saw the Texas Tech Lady Raiders fall to seventh place overall with a 310 second round score heading into tomorrow's final round.
The Lady Raiders came into day two sitting in second place in the team standings following a 299 first round score yesterday.
"We are in a good spot going into tomorrow," said Tech head coach JoJo Robertson. "This team has fought back all year and I think it will continue tomorrow."
Freshman Gabby Dominguez improved her individual standings as she moved into the top 20 (18th place) with a team-leading 76 in second round play.
Senior Rosalyn Kim remained in the top 10 after recording a 77 (5-over) in day two as she sits in eighth place heading into tomorrow's final round.
Junior Alex Gibson finished in the top 25, after the second round, as she turned in a score of 78 (6-over) while freshman Kim Kaufman is tied for 43rd after a second round total of 79.
No. 26 Oklahoma State heads into the final round as the tournament leader with a day two score of 296 while Texas climbed two spots into second place with a second-round score of 297 for a combined score of 599. Texas A&M rounds out the top three one stroke behind Texas with a combined score of 600.
Texas Tech will begin teeing off in the final round of tournament play beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
