Evans Advances in 100M at US Outdoor Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track program started competition at the US Track and Field Outdoor Championships held in Des Moines, Iowa, at Drake Stadium as Terra Evans advanced to the semi-final of the 100M.
Three-time All-American Terra Evans ran an 11.56 and placed 15th in the first round of the 100M. She was one of 16 to advance to the semi-final round, which will be tomorrow at 5:55 p.m.
Three-time All-American Taylor Evans did not qualify for the 400M final at the US Outdoor Championships. She finished 16th in the 400M with a time of 54.91.
In the US Junior Championships, three-time All-American Candace Jackson ran an 11.93 to place 12th in the 100M. She did not qualify for the final of the 100M. Jackson will run in the 200M tomorrow at 11:05 a.m.
Two-time All-Big 12 Champion Shade Weygandt will compete in the pole vault tomorrow at 12 p.m.
