
Tech Track Moves Up in Rankings

LUBBOCK,Texas - The Texas Tech track and field teams moved up in the recent United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association computer rankings to No. 4 on the men's side and No. 13 in the women's rankings.
The men move up from No. 7 and are the second-highest Big 12 team ranked behind Texas A&M at No. 3. The Red Raiders have five student-athletes in the top 10 of the NCAA not including the 4x400M. Bryce Brown is tied for the lead in the 60M hurdles after his time in the 55M hurdles is converted to a 7.74.
The Lady Raiders are up to No. 13 from No. 18. They are the third-highest Big 12 team after Texas A&M at No. 2 and Oklahoma at No. 12. Tech currently has four student-athletes in the top 10 on the women's side not including the 4x400M relay or distance medley relay.
Tech will be headed to College Station, Texas, this weekend for the Texas A&M Big 12 vs. SEC Challenge. The Big 12 teams will consist of Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Kansas State along with Tech facing off against Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
