Tech Track Opens Outdoor Season at TCU

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track teams wasted little time in starting its outdoor season as it will send a group to the TCU Invitational for a meet this Fri., March 18, held in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The outdoor season marks the return of senior hurdler Omo Osaghae. The 2011 US Indoor 60M Hurdle Champion, sat out last year's outdoor season due to an injury. The three-time All-American holds the school record in the 110M hurdles with a time of 13.51.
The hurdle crew also has Bryce Brown, Jamele Mason, Zach Plinario and Brandon Tucker return. Brown and Mason were All-Americans last season in the 400M hurdles while Tucker was a NCAA qualifier in the 110M hurdles last year.
The women will open up as well. Three-time All-American Terra Evans will run the 200M at the meet. The Lady Raiders 4x100M and 4x400M relays, both named All-American last season, will run at the TCU Invitational.
The TCU Invitational will start on Fri., March 18 at 11:30 a.m. with the women's high jump. The running events will start at 1:00 p.m. Live results can be found at http://www.flashresults.com/flashtexas.
