DES MOINES, Iowa - The Texas Tech Red Raiders finished the NCAA Outdoor Championships with its second-best showing in program history with a ninth place finish.
The ninth place finish is the second-best finish after Tech's eighth place finish in 2004. The 26 points is second most to the 26.5 also scored in 2004.
Senior Omo Osaghae in his final race as a Red Raider showed his grit and determination. Osaghae hit a hurdle early in the race but got up to finish the race and earn All-American. He crossed the line in 7th place with a time of 17.53. It is his third All-America honor of his career.
With Brown, Mason and Osaghae earning All-America honors in the 110M hurdles and 400M hurdles, the Red Raiders continue a steak of having a hurdle All-American every year since 2005.

Okafor is the third shot put All-American for Texas Tech. The last All-American was Patience Knight in 2008.
