Head coach Wes Kittley
On Bryce Lamb's performance:
"I'm so proud of him because he jumped 26-feet at the beginning of the year and really hadn't even had an opportunity, he hasn't been able to train. We rested him during conference, and to have him come in here with no competition in the last month and come in fourth, I'm really proud of that."
On Lamb's consistency:
"He is a special kid and he is going to triple jump well outdoors and he is getting healthy again. He is just invaluable to our team. He is going to have the chance to win the national championship outdoor. Today wasn't near his best, but he is a leader and a kid that is going score a lot of points for us.
On Kyal Meyers' performance:
"He competed well. He was just a little bit off. But everyone is jumping 17'-8.00" now. He had a good effort, he cleared some bars, but it just wasn't good enough to get him All-American today."
On Katie Grimes' performance:
"Katie has been probably the most consistent person we have had this year. She is just unbelievably consistent every week. She just barely missed out on making the finals. She had a breakthrough year indoors and I think it's going to carry over into the outdoor season."
On the expectations of the women's 4x400 relay team tomorrow:
"I can't wait. I'm ready to see them. I think we are going to drop our time quite a bit. I think the track is pretty fast and we're fresh and I think the kids are ready to go."
Junior Bryce Lamb:
On his performance:
"It was really fun. A lot of these guys out here I have known for a long time so we were just having a lot of fun. It was a little tough because I haven't done it in a while. I had a hard time, but I still had a lot of fun and got out there and made it to the finals and just did what I could."
On his consistency at the national meets:
"I have no idea. It's a blessing. I come out here every time and put my best foot forward. It's just a blessing."
On how he felt entering the meet:
"I felt pretty good. Just being back out there, it was tough but this is something I love to do and no matter how good or bad it's going or no matter how much I am mad after, I still have a lot of fun out there. It's just what I love to do."
