Red Raiders and Lady Raiders Maintain Top 10 Spots

Both the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders remained in the top-10 of the USTFCCCA rankings Tuesday.

LUBBOCK, Texas. - Just two days after completing action at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, both the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders maintained their spots inside the top-10 of the national rankings as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Tuesday.
The Red Raiders checked in at No. 5 while the Lady Raiders checked in at No. 9 in Week 7 of the computer rankings. The two teams have now been ranked in the top-10 of the USTFCCCA computer rankings during the same week six times during the 2012 outdoor season.
Both teams are coming off of a fifth place finish at the Big 12 Championships in Manhattan, Kan. The Red Raiders and Lady Raiders will now shift their focus to the NCAA West Regional meet held in Austin, Texas May 24-26.
