
Red Raiders Remain in Top 10 Entering West Preliminary

The Red Raiders have been ranked in the national top-10 for 20 consecutive weeks dating back to March 23, 2011.

LUBBOCK, Texas - For the eighth consecutive week this season, the Red Raider track and field team was ranked among the top-10 in the nation as the weekly United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings were released Monday.
The Red Raiders checked in at No. 9 in Week 8 of the official poll while the Lady Raiders slipped out of the top-10 to No. 11.
The Red Raiders have now been ranked in the top-10 for 20 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2011 preseason poll released March 23, 2011.
Both teams are preparing to compete in the NCAA West Preliminary meet this weekend, the first step to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Action at the West Preliminary in Austin, Texas is set to begin Thursday at Mike A. Meyers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
